GNS - Shampoo & Conditioner - Thoughts and Review*

GNS Professional Deep Moisturising
Shampoo and Conditioner
Thoughts and review

Hi my lovelies! Happy Sunday to you all;
Today I'm bringing a review to you about a Hair care brand I was contacted about which always makes me excited because I'm forever looking for new products to help treat my hair on those off days! GNS is a brand that had been established in 2014 and the creator, Sandy Gordon, who's a keen wearer of hair-extensions, wanted to find hair products that could treat both extensions and natural hair. She created products which became a benefit for salons and clients alike due to the much needed gap in the market.

My hair type is quite a mixture due to having naturally thick hair, sometimes quite dry but also it's been coloured for many years so to re-boost the health and moisture is something I look for when trying any new product. I put this duo to the test and here are my overall findings!

All comments and opinions are 100% my own and I've not been paid to say them.

GNS Ultra Moisturising Shampoo
Review

  • First of all, I love the style of the packaging, it is simple to open with a press function on the lid which props open the cap to then be poured.
  • The information is fully displayed on the bottle, including directions for use and ingredients.
  • I think that this is a great amount of product too because a little simply goes a long way, at 250ml I've been using this on a regular basis and it's barely gone down!
  • I think the main thought I've had on this shampoo has to be the scent.. I am in love with it! It smells just like a vanilla cake and seems good enough to eat, although you shouldn't!
  • All the ingredients are natural for example Macadamia oil and shea butter and I've noticed how refreshed my hair was during the first few washes; The scent also lasted much longer than I expected too which is a bonus.
  • The shampoo has kept my hair shinier and has helped seal any split hairs I've had feeling fully restored to it's best.
  • Personally for the price I do find it quite expensive compared to other brands I've tried, If it was more affordable I'm sure I'd purchase this regularly.
Currently this item is available to purchase through their direct website at a reduced price at £10.49 -  Buy Here

GNS Deep Moisturising Conditioner
Review
  • Just like the shampoo, the packaging is sleek and informative containing all necessary information such as directions of use.
  • This is perfect to use alongside the Shampoo because it is packed with the helpful ingredients to tackle dry/coarse hair. I found the conditioner to make my hair feel glossy not at all greasy especially within the roots.
  • I used a small amount for my hair and left it on for a couple of minutes, I wouldn't recommend doing this all of the time, but just when you feel like your hair is in need of a treat it makes a wonderful hair mask!
  • The scent of this conditioner is just the same sugary sweet goodness as the shampoo! It really is an addictive fragrance and makes me excited to use it!
  • With using this with the shampoo too it's a perfect pairing, because I have coloured hair I can worry on the way certain products react with it but this seemed to lock in the colour well from root to tip.
The conditioner is available to buy through the GNS website which is also reduced in price so get it while it's on offer lovelies! Buy Here

I'd recommend this range to anyone who has dry or heat damaged hair, including those who have hair extensions I'd love to hear if you've used this product on them and how the results have been in the comments section below!

Umberto Giannini - Frizzi Range - Styling Spray*

Review of the Umberto Giannini - Frizzi Range
Styling Spray

Umberto Giannini Frizzi Styling Spray (200ml) - £4.00*

Hi there Beauties! Today's post is another styling product which with having much more warmer weather here in the UK, this is something which will come in handy!
I sometimes struggle with having frizzy hair, mainly when I've dried it using a hairdryer and the shorter parts become fluffy and stand up! With the weather also changing from one minute to being rain then hot sunny spells the next, I have been searching for a frizz tackler.
Here are my thoughts on Umberto Giannini and a product from their Frizzi range!

All comments and opinions are 100% my own and I've not been paid to say them.

Umberto Giannini Frizzi Styling Spray (200ml)

  • Packaging is sleek and modern with a silver exterior; A professional looking product which is easy to hold and direct when spraying the product.
  • I adore the actual Frizzi font that Umberto have used for their product range, it's very quirky and the sketching of the female image too makes it unique from other packaging.
  • The lid is a simple pull off top which can be pushed back on into place after use.
  • I applied this spray to my towel dried hair, I would spray about 5 pumps from root to tip then with a de-tangler brush, brush it through so the hair is completely smoothed down.
  • The scent of the spray is just like a salon experience but at home! It's fresh and leaves the hair to smell lightly fragrant.
  • I didn't find the spray to be greasy or sticky once sprayed into the hair, I could just feel how smooth it was when brushing it from root to tip!
  • I left the spray to soak into the hair for around 5 minutes, then I styled my hair into shape and blow-dried, I could already see the results as my hair looked healthier and sleeker; which resulted in not having to straighten it as much as before.
  • It's been a complete god-send and I use it every time I was my hair now! I'd advise this product to anyone who suffers with frizzy hair even if it's just a little or from the summer drying out the tips; it's made such a difference.

Beautiful Locks With Biorganics Hair Therapy*

I'm thrilled to bring to you another company which specify in Hair care who doesn't use any harsh chemicals, and are also cruelty free.

This Company is BiOrganics, their products have started to become very popular within the eco bloggers community and with celebrities such as, Janey Lee Grace (Radio 2 presenter and no 1 personality in the natural beauty yearbook 2013) And (Pollyanna Woodward of the Gadget Show.) I was honoured to have the opportunity to review a selection of their salon secrets hair care products which target dry, damaged and frizzy hair.

All opinions and comments are 100% my own and here is how I got on with them!

Products that I'll be reviewing - Salon Secret Replenishing Shampoo, Salon Secret Replenishing Treatment and the Salon Secret Elixir.

Salon Secret Replenishing Shampoo

From my own personal experiences with shampoos that are created to target coloured or damaged hair, haven't left me with the salon perfect results that they promise. I either find them even more dryer than before or it just goes too frizzy. My current hair condition I would say is quite dry, coloured hair and slightly damaged from heat styling. The replenishing shampoo has its purpose of using a blend of natural ingredients that repair, moisture and protect the hair of breakage; Containing the famous Argan Oil and ylang ylang which I've heard great results on giving a glossy and healthy shine. During my hair routine I applied a 50p sized amount in my palm which I worked to cover both of my palms, before applying to my wet hair and massaging to the scalp. The scent of the product isn't over powering, I would say its a fresh fragrance that you can definitely smell the Ylang Ylang within. I washed my hair with this shampoo twice then used a moisturising conditioner from my previous hair routine. I wasn't expecting a massive change from the one use, but I was pleased with the results after I Blow-dried! My hair instantly felt smoother and looked shiny too.
I've been using this shampoo all the time as my routine and I've really noticed the difference it's already looking healthier and so is the colour it's calmed the tone down and made it natural appearing.
I've noticed that using a shampoo that is free from SLS & Parabens it makes a big difference and is much more healthier for your hair; I'd recommend this shampoo to anyone who like me has dry, thick and needs that extra glossy boost!

Salon Secret Replenishing Treatment

As part of this set, there was a replenishing treatment that is an intense deeper treatment for damaged hair; It's been tested to repair and restore including UV protection and reduces colour fading. Ingredients include Vegetable proteins, Argan oil and Sunflower seed extract. My hair has particularly suffered when the weather and heat has been unbearable, causing my hair to dry and weaken; I've used this treatment adding a small amount into my palms before smoothing it through clean and wet hair, Then I left it on between 5-10 Minutes like a hair mask. Rinsing thoroughly and drying my hair again I was speechless from the results, my hair was refreshed and felt incredibly clean. I'd recommend using this at least once a week, not to over do it as the results are pretty quick even from someone with thick hair!

Salon Secret Elixir

Lastly is the wonderful Elixir that I was curious in using; mainly due to not applying anything to my hair before I blow dry it at home and also it is the first hair oil I've used. Now this product is what I use every time before I dry my hair, I can't see why I was so worried! As my hair type is thick I used 2 pumps of the oil and rubbed it into my palms before working it on the tips and then the length of the hair, avoiding both the root and scalp. Then I brushed my hair into its style with a comb and blow dried. It helped tackle my issue of frizz when I usually dry my hair, revealing it to look a lot smoother and that also my hair dried quicker with the oil than without! It is a recommended hair oil at an affordable price!
