Umberto Giannini - Frizzi Range - Styling Spray*

Review of the Umberto Giannini - Frizzi Range
Styling Spray

Umberto Giannini Frizzi Styling Spray (200ml) - £4.00*

Hi there Beauties! Today's post is another styling product which with having much more warmer weather here in the UK, this is something which will come in handy!
I sometimes struggle with having frizzy hair, mainly when I've dried it using a hairdryer and the shorter parts become fluffy and stand up! With the weather also changing from one minute to being rain then hot sunny spells the next, I have been searching for a frizz tackler.
Here are my thoughts on Umberto Giannini and a product from their Frizzi range!

All comments and opinions are 100% my own and I've not been paid to say them.
--------------------------------------

Umberto Giannini Frizzi Styling Spray (200ml)

  • Packaging is sleek and modern with a silver exterior; A professional looking product which is easy to hold and direct when spraying the product.
  • I adore the actual Frizzi font that Umberto have used for their product range, it's very quirky and the sketching of the female image too makes it unique from other packaging.
  • The lid is a simple pull off top which can be pushed back on into place after use.
  • I applied this spray to my towel dried hair, I would spray about 5 pumps from root to tip then with a de-tangler brush, brush it through so the hair is completely smoothed down.
  • The scent of the spray is just like a salon experience but at home! It's fresh and leaves the hair to smell lightly fragrant.
  • I didn't find the spray to be greasy or sticky once sprayed into the hair, I could just feel how smooth it was when brushing it from root to tip!
  • I left the spray to soak into the hair for around 5 minutes, then I styled my hair into shape and blow-dried, I could already see the results as my hair looked healthier and sleeker; which resulted in not having to straighten it as much as before.
  • It's been a complete god-send and I use it every time I was my hair now! I'd advise this product to anyone who suffers with frizzy hair even if it's just a little or from the summer drying out the tips; it's made such a difference.

Phil Smith - Be Gorgeous - The Styling Range*

Phil Smith - Be Gorgeous:- The Styling Range
Thoughts and Review
Phil Smith Big It Up - Volume Boosting Mousse (200ml) - £4.00*
Phil Smith Hold on - Firm Hold Hairspray (250ml) - £4.00*

Hello lovelies! I was pleasantly surprised to hear about the Phil Smith Be Gorgeous range, which is only available in Sainsburys stores. The range consists of many categories which provides the luxury care and style for any hair type at an affordable price.
My hair type is thick but dry and in all honesty I never use styling products once I've straightened my hair, it simply has a life of its own! But to hold shape and body I was more than interested to see how the Phil Smith range would work out.

Phil Smith - Be Gorgeous - Big it up - Volume Boosting Mousse*
  • The packaging of the product is bold, modern and easy to read. Directions and Ingredients are displayed on the back in a clear format.
  • Product indicates it's best used for fine, flat or fly away hair. Even though my hair is quite thick this mousse helped balance it out evenly to give an overall full shape.
  • The pump itself is very easy to use not at all stiff or causes any difficulty for the mousse to come through.
  • Phil Smith have also partnered with Cruelty free international to help bring an end to Animal testing for personal care and other consumer products worldwide; which I find a wonderful cause and makes me feel happier to use their products without the worry.
  • I only needed two full pumps of the mousse which I placed into my palm and then onto towel dried hair I worked my fingers through the root to tips smoothing it through and then brushed as usual into my desired style. Once blow-dried I noticed the difference, my hair was glossy, healthy looking, full of body and smelt great!
  • I'd happily use this product whenever I feel that my hair is having a dull day, it simply makes the style fresh and volumized without the effort.
  • The product's scent overall is a fruity and fresh not at all overpowering.
  • The mousse consistency was light and didn't feel sticky on the hands or hair.

Phil Smith - Be Gorgeous - Hold on - Firm Holding Hairspray*

  • Along with the same font and style, the Hairspray from the Be Gorgeous range is bold and clear to read. With ingredients and directions printed upon the back including safety symbols, the Phil Smith products cover it all!
  • The product was easy to apply in its spray form, to reduce any fly-aways that may be caused from the spring breeze we've had!
  • The hairspray didn't make the hair feel crisp at all or dry, in fact it looked smooth and shiny and stays true to the Phil Smith word of 'Natural shine and control'
  • With some hairsprays you can find that the scent is overwhelming but with this product I can confirm that it was light and just like a salon fragrance.
  • After wearing the hairspray for the duration, I noticed that it kept my style in place completely and was then successfully brushed out with no problem.
  • A perfect go to product for any daily style or occasion; I'd also recommend this product for a Festival must have!

Richard Ward - The Chelsea Collection Review*

    Richard Ward
    The Chelsea Collection

I was very thrilled to hear from Twitter, about a new hair care collection that has been exclusive to all Waitrose stores. Created by the celebrity hairdresser, Richard Ward, the Chelsea collection hit the shelves and I've been very impressed with my own product samples sent out for review.

All comments and opinions are 100% my own and I've not been paid to say them.

I've been excited to try out these products of course, seeing as I love to keep my hair maintained and by trial and error, hair products for me is sometimes a struggle when ensuring everything is covered, e.g. dry hair, thick hair, coloured and highlighted maintaining.

    Initial Thoughts
    Richard Ward Keratin Sleek Shampoo

-£5.99 for 250ml use within 12 months of purchase-

Upon receiving this product, I instantly noticed the design and style used for this collection. 'Sleek' and sophisticated the range had a complete professional feel which was actually Richard's intention, he wanted this range of his products to bring a professional salon feel to anyone's home.
The shampoo contains his key ingredient, Keratin, which helps to create healthy hair by binding and interacting to re-build hair’s natural fibres to give the lustrous look Richard is famous for creating.
When using the shampoo I was delighted by the subtle yet fragrant scent, also containing Lychee and Strigosa seed I massaged and rinsed doing this twice, feeling how strong my hair became in a matter of moments! The texture of my hair while washing felt smooth and tangle free.

    -------------------------------------------------------

    Initial Thoughts
    Richard Ward Keratin Sleek Conditioner

-£5.99 for 250ml use within 12 months of purchase-

After thoroughly rinsing out the shampoo, I then used the conditioner and applied as directed, massaging from root to tips for 3 minutes. The scent even of the conditioner was beautiful with notes of amber, white jasmine, grapefruit, pear and apple! Using the shampoo and conditioner together personally gives the overall effect of glossier and stronger hair. Since the weather has been pretty up and down here within the UK, My hair has been awful for frizz and de-hydration so this really has been a hair repair!
After blow drying my hair I noticed how glossy it looked and gave my hair more life and strength.

    -------------------------------------------------------

    Initial Thoughts
Richard Ward Keratin Rehab intense rejuvenating treatment

-£5.99 for 150ml use within 12 months of purchase-

The keratin rehab is a treatment which I also received to try; Its a conditioning treatment with vitamin and silk protein for intense re-hydration. I used this after washing my hair twice with the sleek shampoo, using a generous amount of this treatment through length to tips. It advices 5 minutes in terms of leaving it on the hair before washing it out, or if your hair is in need of complete deep re-hydration 30 minutes maximum. This should be only used every two weeks for the best results!
I personally shall not be using this so often with the shampoo too as alone it has better results for my hair, but of course this shall differ with different hair types!

    -------------------------------------------------------

    Richard says:
“There’s no substitute for beautiful hair – and nothing creates salon-beautiful hair like expert hair products!”

Beautiful Locks With Biorganics Hair Therapy*

I'm thrilled to bring to you another company which specify in Hair care who doesn't use any harsh chemicals, and are also cruelty free.

This Company is BiOrganics, their products have started to become very popular within the eco bloggers community and with celebrities such as, Janey Lee Grace (Radio 2 presenter and no 1 personality in the natural beauty yearbook 2013) And (Pollyanna Woodward of the Gadget Show.) I was honoured to have the opportunity to review a selection of their salon secrets hair care products which target dry, damaged and frizzy hair.

All opinions and comments are 100% my own and here is how I got on with them!

Products that I'll be reviewing - Salon Secret Replenishing Shampoo, Salon Secret Replenishing Treatment and the Salon Secret Elixir.

    Salon Secret Replenishing Shampoo

From my own personal experiences with shampoos that are created to target coloured or damaged hair, haven't left me with the salon perfect results that they promise. I either find them even more dryer than before or it just goes too frizzy. My current hair condition I would say is quite dry, coloured hair and slightly damaged from heat styling. The replenishing shampoo has its purpose of using a blend of natural ingredients that repair, moisture and protect the hair of breakage; Containing the famous Argan Oil and ylang ylang which I've heard great results on giving a glossy and healthy shine. During my hair routine I applied a 50p sized amount in my palm which I worked to cover both of my palms, before applying to my wet hair and massaging to the scalp. The scent of the product isn't over powering, I would say its a fresh fragrance that you can definitely smell the Ylang Ylang within. I washed my hair with this shampoo twice then used a moisturising conditioner from my previous hair routine. I wasn't expecting a massive change from the one use, but I was pleased with the results after I Blow-dried! My hair instantly felt smoother and looked shiny too.
I've been using this shampoo all the time as my routine and I've really noticed the difference it's already looking healthier and so is the colour it's calmed the tone down and made it natural appearing.
I've noticed that using a shampoo that is free from SLS & Parabens it makes a big difference and is much more healthier for your hair; I'd recommend this shampoo to anyone who like me has dry, thick and needs that extra glossy boost!

    Salon Secret Replenishing Treatment

As part of this set, there was a replenishing treatment that is an intense deeper treatment for damaged hair; It's been tested to repair and restore including UV protection and reduces colour fading. Ingredients include Vegetable proteins, Argan oil and Sunflower seed extract. My hair has particularly suffered when the weather and heat has been unbearable, causing my hair to dry and weaken; I've used this treatment adding a small amount into my palms before smoothing it through clean and wet hair, Then I left it on between 5-10 Minutes like a hair mask. Rinsing thoroughly and drying my hair again I was speechless from the results, my hair was refreshed and felt incredibly clean. I'd recommend using this at least once a week, not to over do it as the results are pretty quick even from someone with thick hair!

    Salon Secret Elixir

Lastly is the wonderful Elixir that I was curious in using; mainly due to not applying anything to my hair before I blow dry it at home and also it is the first hair oil I've used. Now this product is what I use every time before I dry my hair, I can't see why I was so worried! As my hair type is thick I used 2 pumps of the oil and rubbed it into my palms before working it on the tips and then the length of the hair, avoiding both the root and scalp. Then I brushed my hair into its style with a comb and blow dried. It helped tackle my issue of frizz when I usually dry my hair, revealing it to look a lot smoother and that also my hair dried quicker with the oil than without! It is a recommended hair oil at an affordable price!

Poptastic! Fun and Fashionable With Popband!*

I've got a fabulous product to tell you all about today! Popband is a brand that I came across recently, and as you know my blog is all about reflecting on unique and up coming trends. Popband is making hair-bands fashionable for both the hair and the wrist!

On receiving these items I'm sure you can see, just how interesting and vibrant the packaging is. Everything was packaged professionally, giving you a clear preview on the Popbands themselves. The key to the Popbands is that when wearing them in your hair it leaves your locks kink-free when removing, and then you can wear them on your wrist and still have them look fashionable whether you wear them solo or stacked!

I found the concept very interesting and handy! Before I had my hair short for the past 4/5 Years I remember especially when I would go for my regular dance training, I would have really flimsy hair-bands that really would tangle up in the hair or snap for example. Hair-bands really needed some changes in the market, something trendy, durable yet fashionable. Popbands have really thought more about these things and how to roll it all into one! Hair savers indeed!

This is the first item I received, it's an individual Popband in Just Peachy. It is a powder pink shade which is very pretty and feminine, with a gorgeous added diamonte like charm. I adore this so much, even wearing it on my wrist the material is so soft and stretchy and doesn't feel uncomfortable against the skin.

    -------------------------------------------------------

Now when seeing this item I couldn't help but become quite excited! This is the twin-pack Popband in Midnight. As you can see just like the Just Peachy Popband, there is a wonderful stretchy hair-band with a diamonte like charm and due to it being black of course it can go with anything! But that's not all.. also included is a headband! In the same material and stretchiness it is perfect to push the hair from off the face and I do this a lot especially when I do my daily facial routine!

    -------------------------------------------------------

Last but not least these are absolutely adorable! They're the Multipack Popbands in Pop! In a rainbow of colours there are 5 popbands which come in the multipacks. On their website they have a variety of colour packs at a great price of just £6 each! I find that the Popbands really are worth every penny, they're perfect for on the go and for any age too.

I'm pleased to let you know that it is free delivery on all UK orders! They're also putting proceeds to global charities too which is wonderful support on their part!

Do you think you'll be buying any Popbands?
