*NEW* Feature Friday - Sundae Surprise 3rd of May

New Feature Friday!
Featuring Sundae Surprise

Hello Lovelies! Welcome to this week's instalment of Feature Friday. This week we're looking at the marvellous company, Sundae Surprise, which I came across during a read of my Cosmopolitan magazine. This business stood out to me for it's fun and uniqueness of all things vintage and pin-up! A Sundae Surprise tea party is the perfect way to celebrate any occasion; whether it’s a birthday, christening, baby shower, engagement, hen party or wedding.

They specialise in hand-crafted afternoon teas of delicate sandwiches, delicious scones and decadent cupcakes, served on pretty vintage china and washed down with a choice of the finest teas! And are based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire but they are fully mobile and can provide pop-up tea parties throughout the South East and London, the Midlands and the South Central area! So they can be hosted whether it's at your home or your choice of venue. They have brand new craft workshops, burlesque lessons, pin-up make-overs for a fabulous party twist with so much more to provide!

Interview with Marie (AKA Cherry Sundae/Miss Cherry!)lOwner of Sundae Surprise

    1) What has been your key inspiration to your current career?
[Miss Cherry] The key inspiration to setting up the business was my Grandmothers tea set that she left me when she died. It was a wedding present for her and my Grandfather in the 1930’s and it’s absolutely beautiful. This gave me the idea of hosting a Vintage Tea Party to celebrate my Children’s Christening and things just snowballed from there!
 2) What do you enjoy the most about your job?
[Miss Cherry] The flexibility of being my own boss and working from home is probably the best thing. I also love baking of course.
 3) To date, what has been your 'proudest' moment?
[Miss Cherry] There have been so many moments along the last two and a half years, when the website went live, my first booking which so totally awesome and perfect, when Katie from What Katie Did mentioned me in a tweet (I had A LOT of hits on my website that week!), getting my 5 out of 5 for my Environmental Health inspection, they have all been proud moments. But I do like telling people I run my own business, I feel especially proud of that.
 4) Where do you see yourself in the future?
[Miss Cherry] I can see myself doing this for a long time but I would absolutely love to have a tea shop of my own to host the parties in. It’s been a dream since I was little.
 5) What tips/advice would you give to someone who wants to go down the same career path as yourself?
[Miss Cherry] Don’t do it in the South East! No seriously I would advise anyone thinking about starting their own business to go for it. There are a lot of cake businesses out there so make sure you have something different to offer to your competitors.
 6) Which would you say is your favourite item off your website at the moment?
[Miss Cherry] Its difficult to choose a favourite party, our most popular party is the Pin-Up Tea Party, I love taking photos after of the girls looking gorgeous, with their vintage makeovers.
