*NEW* Feature Friday - Tofu Cute 31st of May

New Feature Friday!
Featuring Tofu Cute

Happy Friday darlings! Hope you've all had an okay week, not to worry it's now the weekend! And to kick off the weekend here on UniqueLoveStyle I'm bringing to you some more kawaii cuteness! Featuring today is Tofu Cute, an online store specialising in kawaii gifts, accessories, stationery, and tasty Japanese snacks. They're based in the UK, but offer delivery all around the world; and are constantly on the lookout for delightful new items to offer to their customers!

Much of the stock can't be bought elsewhere in the UK or Europe as they source it directly from East Asian countries such as Japan, Korea, Taiwan & Hong Kong. Often they will stock limited quantities of an item, so if you see something you really like, it’s best to get it quickly!

Interview with Rosanna Mackney Creative Director and Buyer at Tofu Cute

1) What has been your key inspiration to your current career?
Japan's obsession with cuteness, and the amazing creativity in product design and graphic design that have sprung from that, have really been a big inspiration. It's great to be a part of helping to spread cute culture over to the UK and Europe!

2) What do you enjoy the most about your job?
I really enjoy going to events with Tofu Cute - we attend a lot of festivals and expos where we set up stalls and run panels, and it's such a lot of fun getting all dressed up and meeting people with common interests. Also as I'm the main buyer, this means a lot of product research, which involves going to Asia every year to source all the latest cute items - basically a huge shopping trip! \(^o^)/

3) To date, what has been your 'proudest' moment?
Being featured in a book all about cute culture ("Hello, Cutie") which was published last year was a proud achievement. It's rewarding to see something I've designed on the computer be printed/made in real life, for example banners and products. Also if a product I've selected to be sold at Tofu Cute proves to be super popular, that's a good feeling too, as it means I have a good handle on what people find cute!

4) Where do you see yourself in the future?
I've never really fancied a conventional career and I love the control and flexibility that I have in this job, so I can't imagine doing anything else! TofuCute.com has a new "sister site" which is currently under development and due to launch next month - it's called DreamyBows.com, and it specialises in cute Japanese street fashion. I hope to be involved in that a lot in the future, as I love the Hime Gyaru and Sweet Lolita styles!

5) What tips/advice would you give to someone who wants to go down the same career path as yourself?
If there is a particular subject or sector you're interested in, no matter how obscure, keep persevering! Jobs are in short supply and high demand at the moment, but if you pursue something you're truly passionate about, that enthusiasm will shine through to potential employers. We spend a lot of our lives at work, so to be doing something you love will make you a lot happier, even if you have to do rubbish part time jobs in order to get where you want to be. Also, don't be afraid to take reasonable, educated risks to start your own business if that's your passion - you can even go into the venture with friends, to spread the risk!

6) Which would you say is your favourite item off your website at the moment?
It's quite hard to choose! >_< I love the Pastel Alpaca Cases because alpacas are just the cutest animals. Then there's the Endless Edamame Popping Soybeans, one of our classic products - but I'm a bit biased because I designed the faces on the little beans for those! In the Snacks category, I love Panda Pocky because it's delicious cookies and cream flavour and the packaging is really cute. But the Popin' Cookin' DIY Candy kits are just the zaniest things I've seen, they're amazing!

*NEW* Feature Friday - Annefashionblog 24th of May

New Feature Friday!
Featuring Anne Style Diary

Yay it's finally Friday and you all know what that means here on UniqueLoveStyle, It's Feature Friday time! Today's Feature is a little different, instead of myself featuring a business, I'm featuring a Blogger. The lovely Molly-Anne who owns Anne Style Diary is 19 years old and is currently studying Fashion Promotion in Cardiff.

I've known her quite a while on Twitter and she is such a sweet person with a very down to earth personality and I must say I enjoy her tweets. Her blog is very chic and very well laid out, easy to navigate through with the appropriate pages and use of HTML. Her posts are a variety of Beauty, fashion, nails and lifestyle with clear photography; You can always see her thoughts and views shine through with each post that she does.

Interview with Molly-Anne l Owner of Anne Style Diary

1) What has been your key inspiration to beginning your blog?
I'm such a beauty addict that I spent most of my time surfing through blogs on the internet. So when my friend invited me to a BooHoo bloggers convention in Bristol I couldn't help but say no! I chatted to a lot of successful people at the event and they convinced me to start up my own blog which I did!

2) What do you enjoy the most about blogging?
I think blogging is a fabulous way for stylish young women, and men, to meet each other and share inspiration/tips/tricks etc. I love the #bbloggers chats on Sunday and I especially love finding amazing new products to share with my followers.

3) To date, what has been your 'proudest' blog moment?
I think my proudest moment so far was when I managed to figure out basic HTML and turn my (then hideous) beauty blog into something a lot prettier and suitable for my audience. Since that day my blog views and followers shot up!

4) Where do you see yourself and blog develop in the future?
I'm very interested in taking my career in beauty to the next level. My life ambitions are to become a feature editor for a glossy magazine, hopefully based somewhere glamorous like New York! My degree should help this along but I'd love my blog to become more popular so I know I'm on the right track!

5) What tips/advice would you give to someone who wants to go down the blogging path like yourself?
I'd tell them to do something original. There's a-million-and-one beauty blogs out there with the same old MAC reviews and cutesy headers. I love it when I see someone's personality coming through in their blog so I know I'm reading something honest and passionate. Also, make loads of friends! I've never met an unfriendly Blogger so get online and chat to people!

6) Which would you say is your favourite type of blog post to do?
I LOVE doing reviews. I know it's same-old, same-old but I try and find interesting things to review from original places and teensy-tiny boutiques. I think this type of post is the most helpful to read as well, I know I love reading a good review.

 7) 3 Must have beauty items you couldn't be without!
Collection 2000 Cream Puff Lip Cream, Sabon Moisturising Face Lotion, Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse.
