*NEW* Feature Friday - Candy Geisha 12th of April

New Feature Friday!
Featuring Candy Geisha

Happy Friday everyone! Today's special feature has been a complete honour to interview and show you all about her wonderful work and creativity; She is such a sweetheart! Candy Geisha has the most unique handmade kawaii styled items I have ever seen!

In her own words 'My hand-crafted unique accessory designs are for the ones who love life, dare to be and are not afraid to express themselves with their unique sense of style! So expect cascading foam & PVC Kanzashi blossoms as well as other quirky accessories. All finished off with a magic touch of whimsical iridescence, Kawaii-ness, Fairy Kei-ness as well as UV-ness for good measure!'

These types of stores really are heart-warming to me, mainly because it is seeing someone who is so talented to expand their dreams for the world to see. Her website is so bright and eye catching, with easy navigation with a beautiful layout.

According to Miss Whimsical Cupcake herself, this is her first ever interview! So i'm more than pleased to share more about her and what she does with you!

Interview with Miss Whimsical Cupcake l Owner of Candy Geisha

1) What has been your key inspiration to your current career?
I was exposed to a creative and imaginative world from a young age so I believe that my present career is just another chapter in the main story of my life. Both my parents are professional artisans. I am lucky that they encouraged me to make the most of my creativity and my love for experimenting with visuals and stories. They gave me the best gift in the world! The freedom to experiment and create. My source of inspirations is a big mixture of elements that have been part of my life since I was a little girl and the way I think and conceptualise my creations. All have a narrative, a story, a whimsical world where it all happens.
 2) What do you enjoy the most about your job?
Well, where do I start? Meeting a bunch of creative souls, having the privilege to collaborate with them. Be creative and able to tell visual stories. Knowing that thanks to my creation someone will feel like a glitter unicorn or magical princess for a day! And the list of positives could continue forever!
 3) To date, what has been your 'proudest' moment?
I would instantly say the day I gave life to my beautiful son Eliot. I could not imagine that unconditional love could feel so very strong!
 4) Where do you see yourself in the future?
I would love to open a shop where people can find all the Candy Geisha goodies but also a window into a whimsical universe. Somewhere you could call a second home, somewhere you are allowed to escape for a moment.
 5) What tips/advice would you give to someone who wants to go down the same career path as yourself?
I would say always believe. If you have the strong conviction that you are doing something right and that you have found your path keep going! There are times where you will feel disheartened and hopeless. Learn how to overcome these. Open your options, have a clear vision of what you are wanting to achieve and never hesitate to ask for help and moral support.
 6) Which would you say is your favourite item off your website at the moment?
Very, very hard question to answer! Believe me when I say that I love every single creation that I put out there. So much so that it is sometimes hard to let them go! They all help me to express a different mood and tell various visual stories. To me they are as delicious to look at, as sweets are delicious to eat! However, at the moment I am particularly in love with “Cream Puff” which is a laser cut acrylic bow that I designed as a necklace. It comes in various colour combinations and finish. You can find one example here: http://candygeisha.storenvy.com/products/1315928-cream-puff-necklace

------------------------------------------------------------------

Also to let you all know Candy Geisha has free shipping worldwide on all orders over £30! Which item do you love the most? I think the bows are such a statement piece and wonderfully put together!

Thank you so much for your participation Candy Geisha!
