*NEW* Feature Friday - BeckyBeloved 13th of March

New Feature Friday!
Featuring BeckyBeloved

Hey Beauties! I know it's been a while since the last Feature Friday post, but not to fear, I have some fabulous people lined up to introduce to you all over the next couple of weeks! This week we have a Blogger who is a complete sweetheart, she blogs all things lifestyle, beauty, fashion and many points of interest. She's Becky from B by B and as I type this I keep flicking back to her blog and admiring her photography!

It was great to find out about her and her blog and I do hope you enjoy reading more about her too!

Interview with Becky Beloved l Owner of Bbyb.co.uk

1) What has been your key inspiration to beginning your blog?
I was initially looking for an outlet for my writing and realized I looked to blogs for advice and reviews more and more frequently. I saw blogging as a way to combine something I loved doing with things I loved reading and just decided to start. I'm very honest in reviews so I like to think they are helpful and that my passion for what I am doing comes through in my posts.

2) What do you enjoy the most about blogging?
I really love writing so for me it allows me to do something I'm really passionate about and share it with the world. Alongside that I love the social aspect on interacting with others with similar passions and learning from them too!

3) To date, what has been your 'proudest' blog moment?
I have been very lucky in that my blog has given me a platform to speak about important issues and charities. I am very proud that through my blog I have been able to promote these causes, become more involved with local charities and guest write for many of these charities publications.

4) Where do you see yourself and blog develop in the future?
Well I decided recently to redesign my blog to make it more 'me.' This is a big change for me and the blog and I really feel like it's the step in which I want to go. I hope in the future I still love blogging and writing regularly but for now I'm happy to take steps like my redesign and see where it takes me.

5) What tips/advice would you give to someone who wants to go down the blogging path like yourself?
My number one piece of advice would be just do it! I've met so many bloggers now who were worried what people would think or how many readers they may get but the reality is you should blog because you want to - the rest is all extra so don't worry and just enjoy it!

6) Which would you say is your favourite type of blog post to do?
I really love doing lifestyle posts and seem to do more and more of them recently. I'd personally like to do more travel and food posts as I haven't done that many in comparison and see how I can develop my writing in these areas.

7) 3 Must have beauty items you couldn't be without!
My number 1 is Soap and Glory's 'One Heck of a Blot' - I have oily skin and this leaves my skin with a beautiful matte finish that I can touch up throughout the day/night.
Number two on my List is Emma Hardie's 'Moringa Cleansing Balm' - This is a product that has saved my skin over the years and seems to be the only cleanser to deeply clean my skin.
Finally eyeliner in any form - I am a total addict for liner and cannot leave the house without it!!

Binky London - Purple Gel Effect Nail Varnish Review*

Binky London
Gel Effect Varnish Review

Hey there everyone! It has been a while since my last blog post, so let me just say happy new year to you all and hope you're already having a positive 2015 so far! Today's post is a review featuring my new brand favorite, Binky London!
If you've not caught my last post about the brand you can catch it
here - Binky London 2014 Review Which gives you information about the start up of Binky London and the type of shades they already have on sale.

If you're in the UK and you went to the clothes show in December 2014, you may have noticed that there was the Binky London stall there, which had an array of nail shades but also make-up such as lipsticks and eyeliners. I bagged myself 3 of the lipsticks so if you'd be interested in a post about them, just let me know in the comments!

Onto the review!
All comments and opinions are 100% my own and I've not been paid to say them.

Binky London - Purple Gel Effect Nail Varnish 12ml

  • Brand new gel shade to add to the current Gel effect colours.
  • A 12ml product which should be used within 36 months of purchase.
  • Perfect handheld size that can be suitable for travel; the bottle does remind me of the models own packaging.
  • Information on the bottle is in a readable text containing the Binky London website.
  • The bottom states the shade and range the varnish is from.
  • A wearable purple shade, it is more of a block standard purple tone and when you see the shade through the packaging it is exactly how it shows on the nails.
  • The information on the bottle does state to use a base-coat before application, this is important as it is a deep shade staining of the nails can occur without the use of a base.
  • The brush is a short length but slightly thicker in the width which picks up quite a lot of product to apply to the nail.
  • I noticed after the second application the varnish did appear quite streaky if you are in a rush, so a third coat was necessary for an opaque overall effect.
  • For a gel effect, the varnish is more thicker in consistency and has an ultimate glossy shine to it, but to prevent chipping I would say a trustworthy topcoat should be applied.
  • The polish alone lasted 5 days until peeling/chipping started to be visible.
  • Ideal to leave the nails to dry for a couple of minutes per layer to prevent any bubbling upon the nail surface.
  • Very good value for money for a gel effect polish!
