*NEW* Feature Friday - COR Blimey Apparel 10th of October



New Feature Friday!
Featuring COR Blimey Apparel

It's Fridaaay and you know what that means! Not only is it the weekend but it's feature Friday here too! I have another wonderful company to introduce to you all today, that are bringing new fresh designs to the fashion scene. COR Blimey Apparel allow their customers to bring their creative flow through their clothing, with all their materials handpicked with the customer in mind to meet their expectations and more. With limited edition pieces COR blimey Apparel is definitely a brand that you need to check out because once an item is gone it's gone!

Interview with Jay l Founder/Director/Designer of COR Blimey Apparel

1) What has been your key inspiration to your current career? 
It has to be Brick Lane. It was like the breeding ground for COR Blimey Apparel.

2) What do you enjoy the most about your job?
Being able to travel around and showcase the brand. Compared to working in a store you are just stuck in a building. With stalls/pitches you can move around and take it to different areas. Get to meet some cool people on the way. 

3) To date, what has been your 'proudest' moment?
Seeing the black embroidered T-Shirt on TV Channel AKA! Worn by Stormzy an up an coming rapper from South London track titled Not That Deep. He is absolutely killing it right about now. Keep your eyes on him!

4) Where do you see yourself in the future? 
COR Blimey Apparel concessions in clothing stores and taking the brand international. 

5) What tips/advice would you give to someone who wants to go down the same career path as yourself?
Have a tight business plan and research research research!

6) Which would you say is your favorite item from your shop at the moment?
The COR Blimey dashiki! A very funky piece.

Hello my beauties! Well it's finally Friday and here's to a relaxing weekend; I'm very excited to announce this week's Feature Friday segment to you. I came across this company while browsing Twitter and the first thing which stood out to me about them, was how sociable they were with everyone, a company who is committed to their followers and all who love fashion I knew that I had to delve deeper and find out more about Wear Eponymous.
Wear Eponymous are a fashion brand which are based in Glasgow, with a mission to make us embrace our own individual style and give us the confidence to shop the latest trends with the help of their website which is built by a team of individuals who have had many years of experience within the fashion industry.

I'm thrilled to show the interview I had with the lovely Laura who is the co-founder of Wear Eponymous as she shares her tips and advice!

Interview with Laura McKinnon l Art Director & Co-Founder Of Wear Eponymous

1) What has been your key inspiration to your current career? 
Our business was born out of frustration of larger corporate companies taking advantage of creative talent with little-to-no giving back. As a business, it is important to us that no internship is unpaid and that modern media such as bloggers are recognized and appreciated for their talents! In today's faceless generation of online shopping, we wanted to inject personality and good old customer service for our customers and give them the full shopping experience they deserve!

2) What do you enjoy the most about your job?
Without a doubt, it has to be getting to meet so many wonderful people! Working within the fashion industry, you never know who or what is around the corner. Being part of a start-up, there's never a dull moment – everyday is different – one minute you're running to meetings with designers, the next you're having a photo shoot with bloggers. It never gets boring.

 3) To date, what has been your 'proudest' moment?
Definitely winning the #WOW award from entrepreneur extrordinaire Jacqueline Gold! She is a true inspiration and it was an honour to receive an award from a lady we admire very much.

4) Where do you see yourself in the future? 
Continuing to increase trading globally and bringing more and more emerging designer talent to ladies at an affordable price. We believe every lady deserves a little piece of luxury and let's be realistic – very few people can afford to be spending thousands of pounds on outfits – so we make the designer market accessible, as well as provide excellent quality pieces that will stay in style indefinitely. 

5) What tips/advice would you give to someone who wants to go down the same career path as yourself?
Be prepared to feel the burn. Starting your own business is like running a marathon – especially in the start up phase you have to commit yourself fully to the project and keep going when you feel like giving up. It is exhausting but similar to running a marathon, the self-fulfilment makes it so much more rewarding than a typical 9-5 job and it is really humbling to play an active part in making somebody feel great about their body and image. 

6) Which would you say is your favorite item from your shop at the moment?
Ahh, that is a tough one – I adore both the baby pink and powder blue pastel blazers, but I am a total sucker for the high-necked quilted top too! The contrast collar dress in black is an essential for me – I can throw it on to any event – be it a business meeting or dinner out and everything is nicely tied together with my classic trench coat in brown!
